So, in retrospect, we can now see more clearly, as the Lord gives us illumination by his spirit (which always lines up with the word of God (correctly translated,) that the greek word “sozo” has to have a meaning that is more in line with:
… a process of making the person into a whole person, creating a “new creation” person with a new heart (taking out the old stony heart), causing the person to come alive in the spirit realm, bringing awareness and healing to the person’s soul, and delivering the person from the power of sin’s reign over them. “As in Adam ALL died, so (in like manner) in Christ, shall ALL be made alive.” And finally there will come a time when we are immortal, when it will be totally perfected (saved for eternity.)
In essence there are 3 types of salvation meanings:
- —Saved on the cross of Christ… “It is finished.” (objectively then, we are thus all saved).
- —A process of being made whole, becoming more like Christ, who is our true identity, mirrored in front of us to see what we lost in the garden. Note that according to scriptures, that not all are in the Body of Christ (BOC) at the same time, but each will come to Christ at their appointed time.
- —Saved eternally when we are resurrected ( note that a few of the Body of Christ may be raptured/changed into an immortal being while still alive in their bodies when Christ comes back the second time) or made immortal at the resurrection for each of us. Others will have to go through the Lake of Fire purging and purifying process before they come to an awareness of who God really is and his great love for them and are then washed and made like pure gold. At the consummation of all being saved, we will then “know even as we are known.”
Are you truly alive yet? Well, don’t worry if you are not yet all you should be. God is not looking for a future version of yourself before he will start loving you. He already loved you before the world began, and provided for your complete healing, wholeness, and being set free from sin’s influence, and the mind being controlled or strongly influenced by the thief (thieves) in our life. “While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” God’s wrath abides on the sinner until… until the work is done to bring us into the body of Christ. This is how we can realize that God’s wrath and love go hand in hand in our lives, bringing us into a better lifestyle that can be abundant. “…I have come that you may have life, and that more abundantly.” (John 10:10b) This does not mean that we will always have an easy life, as the enemy of our soul (and his other cohorts) is tasked with making us have to go through some “evil” things in life to cause us to grow and mature. But God is faithful to complete the good work he begins in each and every one of us. His love never ever ever fails. Amen?
